      Navigating the New Data Source Page

      The Data Source Page just got a major upgrade—split into dedicated tabs by use case so you can find what you need, faster.

      Previously, the system page presented all data in one long scroll. Now, with distinct tabs organized by use case, you get a clearer, faster, and more targeted view of the information you need—whether it’s for compliance, vendor risk, AI governance, or integration management.

      Why it matters: This structure makes it easier to drive action—whether you're running assessments, managing vendors, or maintaining regulatory posture.

      General Tab

      This is your main overview of a data source. It includes:

      • Mine Core Fields

        • Data types, employees, processing activities – critical inputs for your inventory mapping

      • System Metadata

        • Discovery method (e.g., SSO, Email, Cloud)

        • System description

        • System industry

      • Custom Fields

        • Any additional fields you’ve added in your settings

      • Assessment Cross-Reference Table

        • All assessments where this system is mentioned

        • Their labels, statuses, and collaboration states

       

      Compliance Tab

      Focused on privacy and governance:

      • All related Governance Assessments

      • Linked Processing Activity Assessments (PAAs)

      • Quickly check which compliance documents reference this data source

      Vendor management Tab

      Everything related to third-party risk management:

      • Vendor Assessments connected to this system

      • Vendor risk posture:

        • Cybersecurity posture

        • Vendor score

        • Suggested risks flagged by Mine AI

      AI governance tab

      Only visible if your organization uses AI Governance.

      Here you’ll find:

      • AI Assessments connected to this data source

      • Information on the AI Assets involved:

        • Toggles to tag data source as AI

        • Type of AI (e.g., generative, predictive)

        • AI Asset description 

      Risks tab

      This is your centralized risk view for the data source:

      • Lists all risks surfaced across assessments where this system is involved

      • Includes inherent risk, source assessment, and mitigations

      Integrations tab

      Manage your technical connections here:

      • Set up integrations for:

        • DSR automation

        • PII discovery

      • View status of existing integrations

      • Add new integrations with the "add instance" button
      • Integration metadata in the new banner

      • Links to manage connection settings
