Configuring Slack Notifications for DSR

Set up Slack notifications to stay informed about new DSRs in real time.

Before You Start

Ask your Customer Success Manager to setup your company's portal for the Slack Notifications automation.

To configure Slack notifications in MineOS, you must be a Slack admin or have the necessary permissions to install apps within your organization.
For Slack integrations we have two options:
  • Slack Webhook flow in order to receive the notifications to. This flow  allows private and public channels. (Recommended)
  • OAuth flow which requires a web approval for Mine's app to access your Slack in order to post messages in a public channel.

OAuth Flow

  1. Go to Settings > Automations > Dashboard.

  2. Pick the "Notify by Slack on New Privacy Request" integration and click Configure.

  3. Authorize MineOS connection to your Slack workspace by clicking "Connect" and following the onscreen instructions:

  4. Choose the public Slack channel to which you want to receive notifications:

  5. After completing the integration setup, a green notification will appear to confirm completion.

Slack Webhook URL Flow
  1. Make sure you generated a Slack Webhook URL for your desired channel. Here's our article on how to generate a Slack Webhook URL.
  2. Go to Settings > Automations > Dashboard.
  3. Pick the "Notify by Slack on New Privacy Request - By Webhook" integration and click Configure.

  4. Insert the generated webhook URL from Slack from the first step:
Note: The webhook key is used in the integration for subscribing and unsubscribing this integration to Mine's Ticket Created event. We strongly recommend giving this webhook id a meaningful name e.g., SlackNotifier.

  5. Click Finish.

Once activated, you will receive a Slack notification for each new DSR:
