Important Notes on Deletion
When MineOS submits a deletion request to Stamped, the outcome depends on whether the customer record has connected data (such as orders or coupon redemptions). If no connected records exist, the customer is permanently deleted. If connected records are found, Stamped performs a soft delete — the customer is effectively removed from key reports and functions, but their record remains accessible on individual lookup with a deleted flag set to true. This is by design, per Stamped's API behavior, to preserve data integrity for linked records.
Additionally, some customers — particularly those whose accounts originate from Shopify or BigCommerce — cannot be deleted directly via the Stamped API. In these cases, the deletion must be performed through the originating platform (Shopify or BigCommerce). If MineOS encounters this scenario, the request will return an error indicating that the record can only be managed through platform controls. In such cases, manual deletion via the merchant's Shopify or BigCommerce admin is required to complete the request.
