To discover the resources in your AWS cloud, you'll need to create a user and an access key for this user.  **Step 1: creating a user** 1. Click [here.](https://console.aws.amazon.com/cloudformation/home#/stacks/create/review?stackName=MineOSStack&templateURL=https://mineos-cf.s3.amazonaws.com/MineOsCloudFormationScript.json) (make sure to log in to the desired AWS account) 2. Open the IAM console by clicking [here](https://console.aws.amazon.com/iam/) 2. On the navigation menu, choose Users 3. Click on the user **MineOS** you just created 4. Open the Security credentials tab, and then choose Create access key. 5. Choose “Third-party service” and mark the checkbox “I understand the above recommendation and want to proceed to create an access key.” 6. In the **Description tag value** you can write “MineOS”   **Step 3: Connecting to MineOS**  1. Go to your AWS set up page in your MineOS account 2. Copy and paste the Access Key and the Secret Key from your IAM console to the inputs in MineOS![](https://docs.mineos.ai/hubfs/image-png-Jun-13-2023-08-51-34-9926-AM.png) 3. Select the regions that you operate in 4. Click on the Test & Save button ![](https://docs.mineos.ai/hubfs/image-png-Jun-13-2023-08-54-04-7309-AM.png) 5. If the test & save is successful the "Start scan" button will be available to you. Click on the button to start scanning.
