About User Search
Find specific user records in your data sources and Data Subject Requests. Use the User Search tool to:
- Locate data subject data or information before handling their request
- Ensure that you no longer hold data on a subject after closing their deletion request
- View a user's request status/history
To initiate a user search, click on "User search" on the lefthand toolbar in your Privacy Portal. 
Enter the relevant email address in the search box to search for a specific user.
User searches will return two forms of records, if relevant:
1. User data across automated data source integrations
A user search will return user data across automated data source integrations. If you have no integrations enabled, no results will appear.
This can help locate the user and their data before handling a request, or to inform you if you're still holding data on a specific user after closing their request.
2. User request history
A user search will return a user's request history - if they submitted a request, its status, type, date received, and source.
