Automate your privacy requests fulfillment by integrating Mine OS to Customer.io
This integration allows you to automate deletion requests of user data from Customer.io
Using this integration will delete the “people” record of the requester's email.
Before you start
- Make sure your MineOS plan supports integrations.
- The user enabling the integration must have a "Manager" or above permission in the Customers.io workspace where an API key is needed.
Setting up
To connect the Customer.io integration, follow the steps below:
1. On the left sidebar, click “Data Sources” and search for Customer.io in the integration list.
2. Next, enter your Customer.io API keys.
Follow these steps to create Customer.io API keys (Three keys are required):
a. Login to your Customer.io account.
b. Click Your Settings on the top right corner of the screen →Account Settings →API Credentials →Tracking API Keys (Tab) or click here.
c. Then click "Create Tracking API Key".
d. Choose your API key name (e.g., "Mine#1").
e. Choose the workspace from which you want to delete your user’s data and create your Tracking API key.
f. Copy & Paste the Site ID and the API Key into the matching fields on MineOS - "Tracking API key - Site ID" (second API on the page) and "Tracking API key - API key" (third API on the page), respectively.
g. Move to the App API Keys tab and click on "Create Tracking API Key".
h. Choose the API key name. (e.g., "Mine#2").
i. Choose the workspace from which you want to copy your user’s data and create your App API key.
Note: You will receive a pop-up with your app API key. This is the only time you will be able to view your API key. Make sure to copy it.
In case of loss, you can always re-create a new API key🙂
j. Copy & Paste the API key to the matching field on MineOS - "App API key" (first API on the page).
3. After pasting your API keys, click “Test your integration” so MineOS can verify the keys.
